  • July 29, 10 am - 5 pm: Side trips to some sites outside Toronto where Road to Avonlea was shot. Meeting at about 9-9.30 near BCPV, then go to Uxbridge for visiting Pine Grove Church, viewing King Farm from the road. Afterwards swinging back to downtown Uxbridge for lunch before going to Pickering with $4 CAD for admission.
  • July 30, 10 am - 5 pm, July 31, 10 am - 6 pm: Black Creek Pioneer Village in Toronto.

  • Changing fashions of Avonlea, presented by Lynda Naranjo, Among the Hedgerows

    Did you ever want to know when Felix could finally wear long pants? Or how old Felicity was before she lengthened her skirts? We'll look at the clothing styles worn during the early part of the 20th century and explain some of the changes in fashion that we saw during The Road to Avonlea and Happy Christmas Miss King.

    Full fees:

    • full adult fee for 3 days: $60 CAD/$50 USD
    • full child (14 and under) fee for 3 days: $45 CAD/$37 USD

    Discounted fees:

    • discounted adult fee for 3 days: $54 CAD/$45 USD
    • discounted child (14 and under) fee for 3 days: $40 CAD/$33 USD
    • non-refundable pre-registration fee: $10 (CAD or USD)

    One day fees:

    • adult fee for only 1 day: $27 CAD/$22 USD
    • child (14 and under) fee for only 1 day: $17 CAD/ 14 USD


    Please note the following:

    • Only one kind of fee should be paid.
    • Full admission fee should be paid at-the-door in Toronto by NON-pre-registered attendees.
    • Discounted fee consists of 2 parts: a pre-registration fee (payable online here) AND an at-the-door fee and is available for pre-registered attendees only.
    • An example: $45 USD discounted fee for an adult. You should pay a $10 USD for pre-registration, than a $35 USD at the door which is a total $45 USD. If you do not pre-register before AvCon, you should pay a total $50 USD at the door as a full fee.
    • Pre-registration fee is a NON-REFUNDABLE FEE! We do not send money back if there will be noshow. Paying pre-registration fee is every attendees' own responsibility.
    • Pre-registration fee is allowed to pay in both CAD and USD funds but if you choose a currency, you should pay at-the-door fee in that currency too.
    • Pre-registration fee is allowed to pay until July 18, 2005 only.
    • We accept payments through PayPal or can use credit and debit cards as well if you have no PayPal account.
    • One day fee is also available for attendees would like to come for one day only.

    supported charities

    Our Canadian charity of choice this year is Shakespeare Works, an organization founded to help educate Ontario students about the Bard's works, as Shakespeare is no longer part of the curriculum. Last year, ShakespeareWorks mounted a production of Romeo and Juliet.

    Our American/international charity of choice this year is Doctors Without Borders, an organization founded to send aid to countries in the grips of war, epidemics, and man-made and natural disasters.
