Attendees who are from outside the Toronto area may need accomodations. Here is a brief summary of available accomodations close to Black Creek Pioneer Village, the venue of the event.

Feel free to make your own accommodation arrangements at these hotels below (or York U) or any hotel in the area you choose.

There are some notes for the North York Hotels group (the hotels below EXCEPT York University).

The hotel group is holding a block of 10 rooms at each hotel until June 29. We have rooms held in our block for Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun night July 28-31.
Individuals will be responsible for booking their own room with the hotel by contacting the hotels at the contact #'s listed.
Attendees must identify themselves as being part of Avcon 2005, to ensure they receive the group rate. All rates below are group rates for us.
Reservations are on a first come first serve basis.
After June 29, any unclaimed rooms from the blocks will be released to be resold to the general public. If attendees wish to book with these hotels after June 29, they will then be offered the best available rate at that time.
Because of summer festivals, like Caribbanna, which is going on the same week-end as AvCon2005, the hotels may fill up quickly so we suggest people book accomodations as soon as they can.

Rates are quoted as net, non-commissionable and subject to 5% Provincial Tax, 7% Goods & Services Tax, and a 3% Destination Marketing Fee. All taxes are subject to change.

Check In/Check Out

Check In begins at 1:00pm. As it is our policy to house all guests in a clean room, requests for early arrival cannot be guaranteed. However, all efforts will be made to try and meet any such requests. Check Out is 11:00am.

Method of Payment

Each guest pays room, tax and any incidentals upon check out.

Parking

Each hotel is happy to offer complimentary parking to their valued guests.

Liability and Security

The Hotel cannot be held responsible for the safekeeping of equipment, displays. Supplies, written materials or other valuable item(s) left in the meeting rooms or public spaces. Individual guests will be responsible for providing security for such materials, and hereby assume responsibility for any losses or damages.
